Art was never destined to be my future. Initially, my exposure to art was merely mimicking my sister, striving to carve out my own identity away from her shadow. Despite this resistance, my undeniable talent in art competitions led my parents to insist I pursue art academically. This parental push propelled me into the artistic realm during my final years of high school.
My entry into the world of art was marked by ambivalence. Lacking the fiery passion of my peers, I mastered skills quickly yet struggled to find my own voice. The daunting blank canvas became less intimidating as I began to experiment with what was familiar: color, texture, and materials. This approach gradually evolved, allowing my art to organically take shape from intuitive beginnings to complex expressions of texture and emotion.
Now, my work deeply explores the interplay of materials and emotions, using a vibrant array of colors and diverse textures to encapsulate fleeting states of mind. Each piece is an intimate expression of the ineffable, crafted to engage and evoke. My journey has been a revelation, not only uncovering my artistic potential but also fostering profound personal growth and resilience.
Innovation is key in my artistic process. Without traditional training in brushwork, I turned to a paint knife, discovering a unique method to layer and texture paint that enriched my visual language (Untitled, 2022). Digital mediums like Procreate allowed me to expand into dynamic illustrations and animations, enhancing the interactive aspect of my art (Series, 2023). In works such as Imagination (2022), I assemble disparate materials like wood and glass, each piece challenging viewers to find their own meaning in the contrasts.
This artistic voyage has transformed how I view the world and express my inner experiences. It underscores the universality of creativity as a tool for exploration and connection. My goal is to create spaces where emotions manifest physically, inviting engagement with the deep currents of human experience that my art reflects.
